The BCE team collectively has designed and overseen the implementation of tens of thousands of feet of urban stream restoration through municipal contracts, residential and commercial development. BCE approaches wetland and stream projects with a unique combination of Rosgen influenced Natural Channel Design Principles and conventional hydrologic/hydraulic modeling experience.
BCE approaches all projects by first collecting quantifiable ecologically focused field data and evaluating it in relation to preferred design methodology and stakeholder interests.
We use guidance provided in the National Engineering Handbook’s (NEH) Stream Restoration Design 653 and 654 guidance coupled with Rosgen classification and Natural Channel Design Principles.
Each assessment and design is customized and in accordance with accepted scientific standards and validated with geomorphic, hydrologic and hydraulic engineering models during design.
