The mission of the Norfolk Botanical Garden is to enrich life by promoting the enjoyment of plants and environment through beautiful gardens and educational programs.
Together with Sustainable Design Consulting, BCE helped identify opportunities for site enhancements and documentation that could help with LEED and SITES certification including LEED-SITES crosswalk opportunities.
BCE adds project value by focusing on the SITE in team workshop/design charrettes and provides input on the rainwater management and water efficiency credits along with helping masterplan the full range of sustainable design opportunities available.
Highlighted Tasks
- Review narratives, drawings, and relevant documents to define scope, constraints, and opportunities.
- Identify LEED and SITES opportunities and strategies, including available Crosswalk opportunities between rating systems, LEED Group certification, single building LEED certification, and LEED Campus credits.
- Assist in preparation of draft LEED and SITES scorecards based on preliminary evaluation of information/ drawings provided.
