To wrap up October, BCE sponsored and attended the annual VFMA Conference in Richmond, VA. Professionals and Certified Floodplain Managers from throughout the Commonwealth came together to discuss new and innovative ways to improve floodplain management, present case studies on topics such as coastal flooding, NFIP, and Community Rating Systems, share new modeling methodologies, and foster new partnerships. Our President, Scott C. Blossom, presented on the Cost of Natural and Beneficial Functions of floodplains in Virginia. BCE had a great time at the conference and looks forward to seeing everyone at the next event!
